Teen Floor Demonstrators using the Discovery Cart
Serving as an instructor & mentor, demonstrating scientific concepts through hands-on activities that can be accomplished in a short period of time.

The Lancaster Science Factory is a hands-on science learning center for all ages, from 1 to 101. Volunteers experience the adventure of seeing children getting excited about science through the variety of experiments. The Lancaster Science Factory floor volunteer interacts with guests, maintains exhibits, demonstrates science experiments, develops relationships with visitors and helps with special events. This is an exciting place to meet people and teach the community about the joys of science, technology, and math.

We offer on the job and special training on a regular basis. This opportunity is open to anyone 16 or older. Volunteers over age 18 will be required to have a background check for the safety of our visitors. Anyone interested in volunteering must first complete an online Volunteer Application and our Volunteer Coordinator, Audrey Lilley (alilley@tlsf.org / 717-509-6363 x104) will be in touch to schedule a volunteer orientation.
