We have a few different shifts needed. Volunteers can wear mask if you feel more comfortable. Water and dinner will be provided.
8 servers needed from 3pm to 9pm- Duties include picking up plates/glasses at the table and bring to the kitchen. Replenish buffet food. Serve waters.
5 volunteers from 4pm - 8pm for the front door entry. Duties include checking guests in and checking those guests entering have wristbands.
2 volunteers from 4pm - 8pm for the silent auction table. Duties include making sure table is neat and tidy and answer any questions guest may have about the process.
3 volunteers from 5:30 - 8:30pm to usher/manage guests during the evening. Duties include answers questions, guiding/ushering guest to tables, ensuring guests are able to see performances, assist dancers to dressing room and pointing out dancers restrooms.
4 volunteers from 6pm -10pm to clean up. Duties include putting trash in bins, removing tablecloths and dining utensils, plates, glasses,etc.

Description
Twenty three years ago May16, 1998. I saved a baby I found buried alive in a shallow grave on a trail in Altadena,CA. The County took custody of him, he was adopted, and his records were sealed. But I never lost hope we would meet again. May 16 2018 another miracle occurred: On his live radio show, Ryan Seacrest reunited me with Matthew Whitaker, the child I rescued, who has grown up into a wonderful young man.
Finding an abandoned baby inspired me, back in 2000, to create Children of One Planet, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to help orphaned children and child-related causes around the world. I believe that dance is the best way to break down societal barriers and bring children together. Dance makes children happy, gets them to exercise and helps them develop important social skills. Because of my experience when I found Matthew, I also want to use my dance programs to deliver age-appropriate information on the dangers of bullying, teen pregnancy, and human trafficking.
