We're looking for volunteers to lead our social media pages for The Longest Day, a signature fundraising event for the Alzheimer's Association!

Are you passionate about the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease? Do you have experience in running social media pages (Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.)? Are you interested in combing your passion and skills for a fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter?

ABOUT THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our chapter serves all those affected by Alzheimer’s and all other dementia in Massachusetts and New Hampshire including more than 154,000 individuals living with Alzheimer’s.

ABOUT THE LONGEST DAY
The Longest Day (or TLD) is a do-it-yourself fundraising and awareness event where participants choose any activity, any date, and anywhere to put together their own TLD event. Together, we all come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's. In the Massachusetts/ New Hampshire chapter, our fundraisers host their own events YEAR ROUND such as a yoga fundraiser, hiking in the White Mountains, board game nights with family, a neighborhood cookout, walking a marathon, you name it!

ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION
As a leader of our Social Media Team for The Longest Day committee, you would:
  • Create and run a TLD MA/NH Chapter Instagram
  • Create content (reels, carousel posts) to keep people engaged
  • Regularly share content, comment on posts, and respond to direct messages
  • Expand into other social media opportunities such as Tik Tok
  • Share responsibility with TLD event manager of posting to TLD Facebook page
If this sounds like you, please reach out to maoneil@alz.org with a bit about your background within social media! Please let us know if you have any questions at all, and we're excited to chat with you!

Thanks!
