We are in search of an accountant, or someone who loves working with #s, finances, and is a team player.
Our founder is currently overseeing all aspects of the nonprofit and she needs support from someone who is great at math, working with #s, and is organized (knows excel, if they know Salesforce that's a plus)!

Donation funding comes in and then needs to be distributed to beneficiaries. A yearly calendar needs to be kept up to date with funding coming in and scholarship payments going out. There are minimal expenditures other than the financial aid scholarship payments, however, Quickbooks online needs to be updated with some payees. This job would require some initial organization up front, and then should be a couple of hours (broken up into short 20-30 min mtgs with the founder or board member) to review financials periodically. This ultimately would be more of a consultant position, once the documentation gets organized.

We're happy to talk with anyone who has the interest to see if it's a good fit! Thank you!

Mission Statement

The Powerful Project Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and children who are coping with the impact of unexpected events that throw life out of balance. We strive to be a resource for those seeking mental health assistance, as well as foster a community for anyone wanting to support the cause. The Powerful Project Mental Health Scholarship Program partners with a curated network of professionals, supporting inclusivity, health, healing, and personal development.

Description

We have seen first-hand that families who are doing "just well enough" and "getting by" could be thriving if given the opportunity for therapeutic support and education. We believe there’s a group of people who are falling between the cracks: they do not qualify for government financial support and insurance does not provide enough help. They may find that insurance is unreliable and they do not have expendable income to invest in themselves or their children. The Powerful Project partners with skilled, vetted clinicians who agree to work with our families at a reduced rate to help stretch donation dollars and family resources.
