Are you looking for an exciting and satisfying volunteer opportunity? Would you like to help senior citizens learn valuable Digital Literacy and English skills? Then look no further! Come and volunteer with the Lyndale Education Program!

The Lyndale Education program serves adult students in the Lyndale and surrounding neighborhoods. The purpose of the program is to provide high-quality Digital Literacy and English language instruction and to help students become more connected to the community.

The Digital Literacy/ESL Classroom Assistant’s main role is to assist the Lead Teacher in leading groups of adult learners. Classroom Assistants also vitally contribute to the creation of a respectful, engaging, and supportive learning environment for adult students who are motivated to improve their proficiency in Digital Literacy and English in order to better navigate their communities.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about accessible community education and are interested in expanding their capacity for communicating with and learning from community members of diverse cultural backgrounds. Our professional Digital Literacy Teacher plans the lessons and organizes the classroom, while Classroom Assistants gain valuable teaching and tutoring experience with continued mentorship by trained Adult Basic Education professionals.
