ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County

- Supervise children ages 2 - 11 years of age
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Work in culturally and linguistically sensitive manner with families from diverse backgrounds
- Keep all children in site at all times
- Plan and engage the children in play activities and provide a gentle, nurturing presence
- Maintain a good relationship with the other childcare assistants in order to work effectively as a team
- Assist in cleaning and straightening of the child care room at the beginning, and end of the group, as well as putting away any equipment
- Other duties as assigned

Times: 5:00 - 8:00pm 1st and 4th Wednesdays of the month, and possibly 2nd Wednesdays (days are subject to change to accommodate program events, holidays, or presenters)

May be required to lift up to 25 pounds. May require setting up tables, lifting or transporting program materials, refreshments, chairs, etc.

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • 3 hours each 1st and 4th Wednesday - 3 hours possibly 2nd Wednesday
  • Background clearance (paid by Agency) Maintain bi-yearly TB skin test record. Complete volunteer training. First Aid certification and CPR certification. Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred, but not required. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination/booster status.
