This opportunity takes place at the Mamie George Community Center (1111 Collins Road, Richmond, TX 77469)
What to Expect
Volunteers will be asked to help distribute groceries in a drive-thru to the families' cars. It will be hot outside so dress appropriately. We may need assistance checking in clients and have additional need for volunteers with Spanish-speaking abilities.
Important Information:
- If it's your first time volunteering, please bring a completed waiver with you - this will be provided to you via email. ( Volunteer Waiver for those 18+, Youth Volunteer Waiver for those under 18.)
- Ages 14+ are able to volunteer by themselves, 12+ are welcome with a parent/guardian.
- Close-toed shoes are mandatory.
- Water will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own.
- Sunscreen & bug spray are available.
COVID-19 Protocol:
- Volunteers are required to wear masks indoors.
- Volunteers are not required (but are encouraged) to wear masks outdoors.
- If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you will be asked to leave the building. If you are not feeling well, please remove yourself from the sign up and do not come to volunteer.
