Samaritan House runs two highly respected free clinics in Redwood City and San Mateo that provide a medical and dental home to low income and uninsured individuals residing in San Mateo county. The clinics offer comprehensive, integrated services, including primary and specialty medical, dental, vision, and mental health care. Volunteers are a vital part of this service.
Our Redwood City Free Clinic is seeking ongoing weekly support on Tuesdays from 11:15am to 1:15pm and Wednesdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm from a volunteer able to assist with our Food Pharmacy. Tasks include:
- Helping to unload the truck for the weekly food delivery (this included a lot of lifting and bending and many of the boxes can be heavy)
- Unpacking of boxes onto shelves and into cold storage
- Preparing dry goods boxes for the the entire week
- Providing feedback on what items are needed each week.
We are ideally seeking 2 people in total for this role, so that the work is shared.
