Are you looking for experience with Project Management, Finance Management, Volunteer Recruitment, or Fundraising Development?
Current Volunteer Management role opportunities vary per Local Program so we are looking for individuals interested in helping with a variety of the following tasks:
- coordinate sports competitions and events
- register athletes
- communicate with families
- outreach to the community
- raise funds
- and more!
You could be a Volunteer Local Program Leader for one or more of the following seasons:
- Winter (Jan - March)
- Basketball
- Powerlifting
- Summer (May - July)
- Athletics - Track & Field
- Bocce
- Golf
- Softball

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
Description
Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round opportunities for children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities to participate in sports training and competition. All Special Olympics coaches, assistant coaches and management members are volunteers.
