Recruiting Organization: Backpack Brigade

We are in urgent need of delivery drivers on Thursday mornings! Drivers will bring food from our warehouse to one or more of the 76 schools we work with. Make an impact in your community today!

Our mission is to end weekend hunger in Washington State. By delivering bags of food to schools, we feed over 2,500 kids per week to help them make it from Friday lunch to Monday breakfast without a single growl.

We have routes to Renton, Laurelhurst, Bellevue, and everywhere in between. We will work with you to assign you a school close to your home.

Drivers arrive between 9:00 am and 10:30 am each Thursday, grab a clipboard with their assigned school, grab a coffee and head out. You’ll typically return with the crates we store our food bags in. The whole thing takes no more than 2 hours.

Our warehouse is located near Showbox Sodo, Filson, and Krispy Kreme on 1st Avenue South Seattle.

Please consider becoming a weekly driver for Backpack Brigade. With recent expansions into new districts, we are at our limit and don’t have the heart to turn anyone away. Do something for the most vulnerable in our community today!
