ORGANIZATION: Traveling Stories

girls reading books

Traveling Stories is a small 501c3 nonprofit that empowers children to achieve their dreams with one-on-one literacy support and mentorship.

We're looking for 1-2 volunteers with strong writing skills who can help us increase funding for our programs by helping us write and submit grant applications.

Traveling Stories currently generates about $75,000 per year from grants, but we're hoping to increase it to $100k or more per year.

We write a new case for support every year and have a list of foundations that support causes similar to ours.

We're looking for 1-2 volunteers who are willing to commit about 10-15 hours per month (or 1-2 grants submitted per month). Volunteer activities would include:
Applying for grants on behalf of Traveling Stories
Researching new funders and adding them to our list
Making updates to the case for support

This volunteer role can be done from anywhere.

If you are interested, please send a writing sample to emily@travelingstories.org

Prior grant writing experience is a plus, but not required.
