Mission Statement

Hennepin County 4-H supports high quality sustainable clubs and programs, which allow young people (grades Kindergarten through one year after high school) to measurably improve their learning and leadership through educational programs and applied research. We work with youth, families, volunteers, interns, and partners to provide intentional space for young people to discover their interests, develop focused skills, and then connect those skills and interests to future possibilities. Much of Hennepin County 4-H's work focuses on engaging youth in meaningful leadership opportunities. We seek to provide opportunities where youth can discover their personal leadership abilities, build critical thinking and decision-making skills, and contribute their leadership skills to making a positive impact in their community.
