The Chapter Director is the primary advocate to support the mission and values of A Few Good MENtors, Inc. (AFGM) within their region. The Chapter Director (CD) is responsible for leading and managing chapter mentoring activities and working in partnership with the President of AFGM and board members (when applicable), and other key constituents. The CD is responsible for assisting in developing the strategic plan, including business and program components. The CD is also responsible for increasing the visibility, network and programmatic contributions of the chapter, as well as working collaboratively with other AFGM chapters. The CD should also have a commitment to building their faith and those around them.

Mission Statement
A Few Good Mentors, Inc. (AFGM) is a 501c3 community based mentoring program that provides young men with experienced mentors who develop a bond with mentees and offer support, guidance, and opportunities to help establish and accomplish life goals.
Description
AFGM began on October 2019, we beleive every young man can benefit from having a mentor to help navigate through life. Mentors will meet or contact their assigned mentees a minimum of one hour weekly. The goal is for mature men to help younger males develop into mature men. We focus on seven areas of devlopment. Spirituality, leadership, job/career. education, finances, good manners and health. Since we began we have mentored over 30 young men in the DC/VA and MD area as well as the Hampton Roads area ov Virginia.

- We anticipate that this volunteer position requirs at a minimum 5 - 7 hous per week.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role either in the private sector, civilian government sector or in the military. At least one year experience as a mentor. This experience does not have to come from AFGM.
