The Group Leader will get the opportunity to volunteer in a fun, upbeat environment with teens and/or adults with special needs. Our Teen Trips and Adult Adventure programs provide opportunities for those in the special needs communities to experience fun outings with their friends and peers. Activities include bowling, pottery painting, trampoline parks, and more! Group Leaders will ensure the fun, safety, and friendship of a group of 5 participants by engaging in fun activities throughout metro-Detroit.

Through our programming, Friendship Circle aims to promote an inclusive community that values all individuals regardless of the challenges they face.
Description
Friendship Circle provides assistance and support to 3,000 individuals with special needs and their families by providing recreational, social, educational and vocational programming. In addition to helping those in need, the Friendship Circle enriches its vast network of volunteers by enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving.Friendship Circle also provides support to individuals and families struggling with isolation, addiction and other family-related crises.

- This opportunity requires volunteers to attend weekly on Sundays from 12:00 - 2:00 pm, from October through May. However, exceptions may be made for those who are not able to attend weekly for the duration of the school year.
