A Patient Access Intern will assist leaders in the smooth running of special projects within the referrals department, call center, patient engagement, process improvements, and enrollment. The intern will be required to create reports, analyze data, support, understand the organization’s needs, and support ongoing projects. Under the supervision of the department representative, volunteer provides clerical and administrative support to the assigned department and will gain knowledge of community health care through exposure to the FHCSD community health model.

Family Health Centers of San Diego is a community health center founded in 1970. Everyone is welcome at our health centers, including Medi-Cal, insured and uninsured patients. If patients are uninsured and do not qualify for a program, their cost is discounted based on income and family size. We offer an extensive array of medical, dental and mental healthcare services at our many locations in San Diego County.
