Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York’s premier human services providers, is a 128-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 16,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan. We run two dynamic Senior Centers located at 343 East 70th Street and 619 Lexington Avenue that serve thousands of older adults who enjoy a full range of educational, recreational, social and health and wellness activities, as well as wonderful meals prepared by our Food Services team. This position takes place at our Senior Center at 343 East 70th Street.
To help our members grow their knowledge and skills around the piano and music, we are seeking an experienced individual to provide instruction on elementary level piano skills to a group of 10+ students. Our members have a variety of backgrounds and skill levels in the piano and are eager to learn more.
Some materials will be provided if requested and the Director of Visual and Performing Arts will be available to do some preliminary training as well as to periodically to check-in with the volunteer for additional support and guidance if needed.
If this sounds like a volunteer opportunity you would be interested in, please reach out to via email at rgross@lenoxhill.org or call (212) 218-0473.
