Volunteer Directly with Kids & Shelter Dogs This Fall!

ORGANIZATION: K9 Youth Alliance

QUICK OVERVIEW

We're currently seeking 30 responsible adults to mentor student-dog teams in our 3-week Fall programs!

MISSION

K9 Youth Alliance is a local nonprofit that enriches the lives of youth from underserved communities and shelter dogs.



VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteers will work directly with student-dog teams to train them on dog handling.



Program Information

1st Fall program runs September 19 - Oct 7

2nd Fall program runs October 17 - Nov 4

* Volunteers may participate in one or both programs as availability allows

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal volunteer should:

Be inspired by the opportunity to help kids and shelter dogs

Be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Be on your feet and active for roughly 3 hours a day

Clear a criminal background check

*Priority is given to volunteers who can attend all 15 days of a program
