Recruiting Organization: Tuik Ruch Lew/Helping the Earth
- Research foundations and other organizations for funding opportunities for Tuik Ruch Lew. The intern will keep us up to date on and communicate with relevant organizations in our fields of clean cooking, deforestation, carbon offsets, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), women’s empowerment and accelerating investments in women.
- Conduct research and track current events related to the major threats that face the Lake Atitlán basin and the surrounding community. For example, this could include research related to respiratory health threats or more environmentally-oriented research on bioremediation and anti-deforestation efforts. This will include writing internal reports, memos, and fact sheets related to these issues.
- Develop media coverage of our activities for our website and Facebook page, as well as other social media channels, harnessing links between our work and international trends in conservation and climate action. Manage TRL’s photo database. This will involve some time accompanying the staff on field work to take photos or short videos.
