Social Media Director & Analyst

In this position the Social Media Director & Analyst will be observant, creative and data-driven. The Social Media Director & Analyst will be able to create innovative and exciting methods for public awareness and engagement.


Through creative, clear and compelling web and social media communications you will drive engagement and awareness of NDVC work nationally. The Social Media Director & Analyst is responsible for providing feedback to leadership staff/volunteers to let them know how a campaign has been received and how it should be adjusted. Must have excellent knowledge of social media tools & trends.


We are looking for someone with a proven track record in growing communities on social media.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow NDVC’s social media audience for key demographics.
  • Strengthen the NDVC brand and engage our community on social media by producing creative and compelling content.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of social media messaging while we build a social team.
  • Lead/direct others on social media team.
  • Create strategy and help secure social media cause marketing and influencer partnerships.
  • Analyzing social media post metrics.
  • Making a note of posts that perform poorly and finding evidence for why this may be.
  • Reporting to the Social Media Director to inform them of the success of social media campaigns.
  • Providing constructive criticism to content creators to help them make improvements.
  • Observing follower engagement and building a report on their behaviors.
  • Researching new social media trends and tools.
  • Keeping abreast of current events and pop culture to better understand user behavior

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in social media strategy and management.
  • Experience planning, managing and executing successful social media educational and fundraising campaigns.
  • 2 years of experience in communications or related fields.
  • The ability to write creatively, clearly, and compellingly. An eye for detail and impeccable grammar.
  • Able to work with minimal direction and supervision; independent and self-driven.
  • Able to think strategically and results driven.
  • Deep passion for NDVC’s vision, mission and objectives.
  • Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Non-profit experience and understanding of brand archetype’s a plus.
  • 2 years experience in marketing, communications, or media, or training with social media.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience as a social media assistant, content creator, or a similar role.
  • The ability to analyze data (specifically related to user behavior and engagement).
  • Excellent communication skills.
