Description
"We envision an environment enveloped with comfort, sensitivity, and care for all individuals who experience losing a loved one while in the hospital setting."
Lorene Morris, Transitional Bridges Founder and PresidentThe experience of how the transition from life to death is handled in the hospital directly impacts how individuals will cope with their loved one’s death. Death is emotionally difficult and sometimes traumatic regardless of age, cause of death, or whether expected. Family and caregivers present at the patient’s bedside before and at the time of death receive their loved one’s personal belongings after they have expired.
Handing over belongings in a bag designed to comfort will create a positive experience directly connected to the staff and institution.
Transitional Bridges has created Transitional Belongings Bags, door hangers, and sympathy cards for hospitals and in-patient hospice facilities. These products intend to provide grieving family members with a more empathetic experience when a loved one passes away in an institutional setting.
