Join Parks Maintenance Staff as we help spruce up the plantings around Chavis Park.
Volunteers will help with digging holes and placing in new plants ranging in size and species. After completing the planting, volunteers will add mulch.
Through your volunteer service, you have the opportunity to connect people with vibrant parks and to help us maintain healthy landscape beds which in turn supports the nature in our parks.
We will be working outside in the elements and dirt, so dress accordingly. There is the possibility of uneven ground. There is a restroom on site.
Registration by each volunteer is required. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. All volunteers must sign a release form. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian sign their release form.
We will provide tools, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own filled water bottle.
