Volunteer Face painter/Balloon Artist

Save to Favorites

JDRF is seeking a volunteer balloon artist and/or face painter for our upcoming JDRF One Walk on October 2nd at Six Flags New England.

Each year, JDRF One Walk brings together thousands of people across the country to change the future for everyone living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). JDRF One Walk gives people with T1D, their loved ones, companies and the local community the opportunity to create change and positively impact the lives of those living with T1D.

To help make the day more special for the T1D community, we are in search of a volunteer balloon artist and/or face painter for the event. The times needed would be 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and we can provide you with (2) free tickets to enter the park afterwards (park opens at 12 p.m.).

If you are interested, please reach out to Lindsey at or call 860-321-2274

About JDRF

20 Batterson Park Rd, 3rd Floor, Farmington, CT 06032, US

Mission Statement

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF's goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.

JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to bring those living with T1D a continuous flow of life-changing therapies and, ultimately, a cure for the disease.

JDRF’s highest priority remains funding research to deliver a cure for T1D and its complications. At the same time, JDRF is also focused on developing better treatments that will transform the way people with T1D treat the disease today, in order to help them live healthier lives now and in the future. Finally, JDRF also seeks to prevent T1D, to keep future generations from developing the disease.

This is all part of JDRF’s promise of "less until none": to progressively remove the impact of T1D from the lives of those living with the disease until it is no longer a threat to them or their families.
