Recruiting Organization: Casa de la Alegria

Can you speak and write Spanish well, do you have knowledge of fundraising and do you want to work for a better future for children and young people in Bolivia? Then we’re looking for you!

About us:

We are Casa de la Alegría, a young, enthusiastic organization that helps young people in Cochabamba, Bolivia become more self-reliant. We do this by developing practical and socio-emotional skills in and with young people. Aggression control, self-confidence building and encouraging self-reliance are some of the themes we work on. We have a heart for development cooperation and the vision that development projects must arise from demands of local society. This means that we work together with instead of just for our target group.

The function:

In order to realize our goals in Bolivia and the Netherlands, documents sometimes have to be translated from Dutch or English to Spanish and vice versa. The work can be carried out from home, and the hours can be arranged flexibly. We do, however, expect good, clear communication about availability and that you keep to agreements made.

Job requirements:

 Good Spanish language skills and preferably with translation experience (EN-ES and ES-EN);

 a proactive attitude;

 enthusiasm;

 affinity with the goals and activities of Casa de la Alegría.
