As the Leader of our Homework project you will be responsible for the direct community work of Intiwawa with the 59 students we currently support. In this position, you will accompany, support, and coordinate all activities with our education volunteers, whose aim is to strengthen the skills and performance of the students impacted by Intiwawa. You will also be responsible for the documentation and follow up of the efficient and effective running of the project. You will be the main point of contact for the team and contribute with your initiative and creativity on progressing the project.

Responsibilities

● Work onsite in Mollebaya district (located 1:30 - 02:00 hours from the center of Arequipa) in close coordination with the General Director, Project Coordinator, and onsite teacher and follow the guidelines established in the work plan for the timely fulfillment of the objectives

● Coordinate and supervise homework activities in order to meet the objectives defined by the work plan and organize the volunteer and student schedule

● Coordinate all academic activities with the General Director, Project Coordinator and teacher

● Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures

● Inform the general director and project coordinator about the progress of the students and participate in the evaluation of volunteers

● Keep track of incidents onsite, as well as communication with parents

Requirements

● Spanish and English - B2 minimum (written and spoken)

● Excellent intercultural communication skills

● Excellent self-management and organization skills

● High level of team-work, creativity and responsibility

● First experience in Leadership of events/projects/ teams (desirable)

● Experience working with students in at-risk areas (desirable)

● Minimum 6 months commitment

Details

● The position is voluntary (unpaid) and full-time (around 30 hours/week)

● Working hours will be Monday-Friday from 1:30 - 7:30 pm (including transport to and from the community)

● Work-related expenses are covered

● Low-cost housing available

● A letter of reference and certificate will be provided at the end of the term


Como Líder de nuestro proyecto de Tareas, serás responsable del trabajo comunitario directo de Intiwawa con los 59 estudiantes que actualmente apoyamos. En este puesto, acompañarás, apoyarás y coordinarás todas las actividades con nuestros voluntarios de educación, cuyo objetivo es fortalecer las habilidades y el desempeño de los estudiantes impactados por Intiwawa. También serás responsable de la documentación y el seguimiento del funcionamiento eficiente y eficaz del proyecto. Serás el principal punto de contacto para el equipo y contribuirás con tu iniciativa y creatividad al progreso del proyecto.

Responsabilidades

● Trabajar in situ en el distrito de Mollebaya (ubicado a 1:30 - 02:00 horas del centro de Arequipa) en estrecha coordinación con la directora general, Coordinador de Proyectos y la profesora en campo además de seguir los lineamientos establecidos en el plan de trabajo para el cumplimiento oportuno de los objetivos.

● Coordinar y supervisar las actividades de las tareas para el cumplimiento de los objetivos definidos por el plan de trabajo y organizar el horario de los voluntarios y estudiantes

● Coordinar todas las actividades académicas con la directora general, el coordinador de proyectos y profesora

● Velar por el cumplimiento de las normas y procedimientos internos

● Informar a la directora general y coordinador de proyectos sobre el progreso de los estudiantes y participar en la evaluación de los voluntarios

● Llevar un control de incidencias en campo, así como la comunicación con padres de familia

Requisitos previos

● Español y ingles - B2 mínimo

● Excelentes habilidades de comunicación intercultural

● Excelente capacidad de autogestión y organización

● Alto nivel de trabajo en equipo, creatividad y responsabilidad

● Primera experiencia en Liderazgo de eventos/proyectos/equipos (deseable)

● Experiencia trabajando con estudiantes en zonas de riesgo (deseable)

● Compromiso mínimo de 6 meses

Particulares

● El puesto es voluntario (no remunerado) y a tiempo completo (unas 30 horas semanales)

● Los gastos relacionados con el trabajo están cubiertos

● Horario Lunes-Viernes de 13:30 a 19:30 pm (incluyendo la movilización a la comunidad)

● Se dispone de un alojamiento de bajo coste

● Se entregará una carta de referencia y un certificado al final del plazo
