We are looking for an accountant to help us file our taxes this year as it is our first year as a 501c3. Our treasurer is located in the US so questions and meetings can be easily arranged if the volunteer is also located stateside without time zone issues. We are very small and do not anticipate a lengthy returns process, and can expect to use the 990 EZ forms this year.
We are registered in Washington state and will comply with any state filing requirements as well.

To help people help pets by providing animal welfare education, resources, and access for all.
Description
Japan Cat Network International (JCN / JCN intl.)provides advice, support, materials and other information so that people can assist animals in need within their own community. JCN has helped to start hundreds of trap, neuter, return and rescue efforts throughout Japan. JCN runs two small no-kill shelters; one of which serves as a rescue base in response to the Tohoku disaster. We are committed to educating the public on the benefits of spay-neuter and we strongly support the no-kill movement.
JCN has been featured internationally and on Animal Planet’s Must Love Cats program. Dozens of articles and reports have been produced about JCN’s efforts.
