ORGANIZATION: Women of Color on the Move

Term: Two Years

Committee Chair to help with WOCOTM

Responsible for: working with the board of directors of WOCOTM

Specific Duties:

(in addition to Responsibilities and Duties of Board Member)

  1. Ensure their committee has clear charge that is consistent with goals and preferences of Board and is fully understand by each committee member.
  1. Assigns work to the committee members, set the committee agenda, facilitates the meetings, and ensures distribution of meeting minutes to full Board.
  1. Ensures committee members have the resources and information needed to do their jobs as committee members
  1. Works closely with the Board Chair, Chief Operation, Chief Financial, board, and other board members of WOCOTM.
  1. Set the tone for committee work that is purposeful, complete and timely.
  1. Reports to the full Board on committee’s decision and recommendations.
  1. Initiates and leads the committee’s annual evaluation for standing committees or final evaluation for ad hoc committees.
The position is a two-year term.

Your race, gender and other traits are things to celebrate and be proud of. Never listen to anyone who wants to degrade you for them.

We seek solutions to our nation’s health and economic crisis’ proactively and in real time.

We seek to engage women as informed and active agents in the political arena to affect legislation, policy and our lives.

We aspire to make our voices resonant, respected and effective as we speak to the challenges that confront us individually and collectively.

We pledge to share information to be knowledgeable advocates, and to embrace each other in our myriad journey of growth and self-improvement
