King's Compassion offers free services to seniors who are at or below poverty level. We focus on companionship, independence, and dignity. Many of our seniors want to keep their independence and we support them in many ways. One of those ways is helping them with their lawn care. We care for 21 lawns and have 11 on our waiting list. Ask about adopting a seniors lawn!

Though we have Saturdays chosen for the need, please feel free to suggest a weekday and know any amount of time you offer is appreciated.

We also have volunteers who like to bring their own equipment (which we encourage) and they cut lawns at their convenience.

If you have questions or would like more information, please call our volunteer coordinator at 210-201-2402. We welcome texting as well.

Our mission is to demonstrate God's love by serving and becoming advocates and friends, as we seek to provide for their basic physical, material and spiritual needs.

Description

King's Compassion is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization existing since 2011 dedicated to serving low income elderly poor and homeless. We provide free services and goods to the seniors in San Antonio. These include, but are not limited to, visitation, home minor repairs and maintenance, including lawn care, provide groceries monthly and items excluded by SNAP, deliver donated goods, and link them to community resources, if we do not provide them. Our seniors benefit from the free services and goods, as they may have physical, financial, and other limitations.
