Description

The Dream: We started with 3 acres of empty land in Meru, Kenya and turned it into a thriving community offering those in need with education, food, and learning to be self-sufficient. Kenyan Orphan Support has been working in this community for over eight years. Our heart is towards the children in this community. We want to see them have a better chance at a future. We have sponsored over 80 children and young people in colleges and schools, we have a small farm and a small school with around 150 children some of them sponsored by our organizations. We have funded over 20 women groups with microfinance at no interest rates, given computers and printers to schools and youths to start jobs. We use permaculture approaches to support the school with food and are looking for experts in various fields to help us expand our programs. ​We are looking for partnerships, volunteers, donors, corporates, individuals or organizations to help us achieve our goals. We currently have a school, a farm, that supports children; and offer a micro-credit to women groups at no interests so they can start small businesses and agriculture.
