About THE NORTH CAROLINA NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY INC

Location:

PO BOX 5907, GREENSBORO, NC 27435, US

Mission Statement

North Carolina Native Plant Society is dedicated to the enjoyment and conservation of native plants and their habitats though education, protection, propagation and advocacy.

Description

NCNPS has regular statewide meetings and field trips to natural areas for the enjoyment of native plants and wildflowers. Members assist with volunteer field projects in support of native plant stewardship. The Society promotes the propagation and use of the native plants in the landscape, in part through the publication of a native plant propagation manual. We give student scholarships for native plant research and to the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference at Western Carolina University.
