If this is you - we have an exciting volunteer opportunity! The Miami Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is looking to fill our Affiliate Chair position.

In this role, you will oversee a team of volunteer leaders and help guide them to success. You will work together to identify and execute goals around PanCAN's three major initiatives: PanCAN PurpleStride (fundraising), Action Week (advocacy), and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (community outreach).You will also recruit volunteers for the Miami Affiliate. The ideal volunteer for this role has a passion for leadership and strong organizational skills! Training will be provided.

PanCAN volunteers raise funds and awareness year-round to support research and clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy, and community engagement work. Our volunteers support us in a number of capacities, including social media, public awareness campaigns, fundraising, event planning, and government advocacy.

We need you because pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers; the five-year survival rate is only 11%. It is currently the third leading cause of all cancer-related death in the US. We need people like you to help us create a world where all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
