Mission Statement

MISSION: Our mission is to protect, promote, empower, and educate women, girls, and children about their human rights and responsibilities by providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and platforms. We do this by raising awareness about critical issues such as corporal punishment, child maltreatment, child sexual abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence, female genital mutilation, and child marriage. We are driven by the belief that education and awareness are potent tools in dismantling the barriers that perpetuate violence.

Description

We are the Future Leaders Initiative SL (FLI-SL), an organization with a heartfelt mission: to end violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. Founded by Ibrahim S Bangura, a survivor of violence, our journey is deeply personal, committed to the well-being of every vulnerable child.

Our Purpose: FLI-SL's sole purpose is clear: to end violence against children, women, and girls. We focus on Sierra Leone's educational environments, committed to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable.

Our Vision: We envision a Sierra Leone where every child grows up free from fear and violence, empowering women and girls, with communities as protectors of future leaders.

Goal: Our goal is to lead the next generation toward sustainable development through education and empowerment.

Recognition: FLI-SL, founded on November 10th, 2018, is a registered Youth Serving Agency (YSA) with Sierra Leone's National Youth Commission since August 20th, 2019.
