Please visit the new page to apply.
Do you love to hike and want to help give kids the same great outdoor experience? Have you done trail maintenance in the past or have skills that apply? We are looking for 1-2 individuals to lead planning and execution of nature trail improvement work and to guide groups of volunteers in completion of identified tasks. Work with our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule trail maintenance volunteer events based on your availability. Greet and lead volunteers in maintaining trail appearance and functionality to include cutting back overgrowth, laying wood chips on path, removing debris, ensuring safety of trail bridges, installing signage or new class seating and possibly removing invasive honeysuckle. Assist in securing supplies or equipment for the planned tasks. Help us keep the nature trail looking great for our outdoor nature education program for 1st-4th graders who actively use the trail in fall and spring.
