Future Leaders Initiative SL is looking for a reputable and hardworking individual anywhere across the world with a wide range of social followers fundraising manager to serve as our organization's fundraising head who can deliver all fundraising programs. This could include developing corporate partnerships, coordinating direct mail campaigns, organizing fundraising events and appeals, and sourcing grant income from trusts, foundations, and other statutory bodies.

The individual is going to undertake so few tasks such as

  • Researching and approaching potential donors and other bodies that could potentially make grants to the organization
  • Writing and presenting proposals.
  • Managing the grant application process and ensuring that reporting is tracked and meets donors' expectations
  • Developing relationships with major donors, identifying new potential major donors, and nurturing relationships

Management and financial tasks:

  • Preparing annual income and expenditure fundraising budgets for approval
  • Recording, monitoring, and reporting financial progress
  • Administrative duties: updating databases, preparing reports, monitoring income and expenditure.
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers for a fundraising project.

Marketing and PR tasks:

  • Communicating with the public: online, via the media, through direct mail, etc.
  • Liaising with copywriter, printer, etc to produce fundraising promotional material
The individual should possess
  • Communication skills: writing dynamic funding proposals and inspiring people to commit to the cause in question.
  • Interpersonal skills: you will be constantly interacting with people, persuading them of the value of your organization.
  • Research skills and attention to detail: sourcing information and statistics, researching trends, and assessing costs.
  • Creativity: idea generation, resilience, and flexibility, we know this is a tough job

We do this by raising awareness about critical issues such as corporal punishment, child maltreatment, child sexual abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence, female genital mutilation, and child marriage. We are driven by the belief that education and awareness are potent tools in dismantling the barriers that perpetuate violence.

We are the Future Leaders Initiative SL (FLI-SL), an organization with a heartfelt mission: to end violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. Founded by Ibrahim S Bangura, a survivor of violence, our journey is deeply personal, committed to the well-being of every vulnerable child.

Our Purpose: FLI-SL's sole purpose is clear: to end violence against children, women, and girls. We focus on Sierra Leone's educational environments, committed to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable.

Our Vision: We envision a Sierra Leone where every child grows up free from fear and violence, empowering women and girls, with communities as protectors of future leaders.

Goal: Our goal is to lead the next generation toward sustainable development through education and empowerment.

Recognition: FLI-SL, founded on November 10th, 2018, is a registered Youth Serving Agency (YSA) with Sierra Leone's National Youth Commission since August 20th, 2019.
