Join FareStart in making meals for our community at our Pacific Tower Kitchen in Beacon Hill!
For 30 years, FareStart has been providing meals to our community to offset food insecurity and relieve hunger. FareStart has provided millions of meals to organizations across the Seattle area that serve youth, adults and families who are low-income or experiencing homelessness. Volunteers help with a variety of tasks to help supplement the large amount of work that goes into creating between 3,000 - 5,000 meals each day. No kitchen experience is required! A great opportunity for hands-on volunteer work and team building. Lunch is provided!
Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will help prepare meals by completing basic preparation tasks; for example: assembling boxes for meal transportation, stamping meal bags, portioning, cleaning produce and more. FareStart staff will assign tasks based on individual skill and comfort level.
