This is a hands-on event for our unhoused neighbors. We will set up backpacks with scarves, sleeping bags, hoodies, and other items. There will then be a one-on-one distribution as you help our guests choose their items. We will also have organizations with resources to help those guests who are interested. Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. *Teens 16 and 17 are welcome to volunteer independently. Volunteers who have taken part in the past said that it changed their lives, and we hope you feel the same way!
Once you register to volunteer you will be sent an email telling you about parking and sending you a waiver.
PLEASE PRINT AND SIGN THE WAIVER BEFORE ARRIVING TO VOLUNTEER. *ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A WAIVER SIGNED BY A PARENT OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Any teens volunteering for service hours must be willing to work. Service hour sheets must be filled out and ready for me to sign at the end of the event.

Mission Statement
BACK@YOU was created to help open people’s eyes to those that so many of us walk blindly by each day. The homeless are not invisible, and we should not act as if they don’t exist. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and kindness. None of us is less of a person for not having a home. With those principles as our guide, we simply fill backpacks with some essential supplies and basic comforts to share with our homeless neighbors, and our volunteers distribute these backpacks. We make each of our backpacks to show its recipient that someone cares. They may be small gestures in the grand scheme of things, but they are filled with love.
