The Children's Heart Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research.
Our mission is to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.
Short Description- Volunteers would be helping us host the Seattle Congenital Heart Walk at Warren G. Magnuson Park on 10/09/22. We will be needing assistance with the following items.
Pre-event:
Some light set up- Setting up the Mission table, folding and organizing t-shirts for registration, setting up hydration station, setting snacks up, setting up the floral arrangements for the memorial tent.
During the event:
Registration- checking our guests in and handing out earned merchandise
Snack and hydration station- Staging beverages and snacks for our guests
Directing guests- handing maps out to walkers and helping to guide guests to start of Walk and where to meet for the program
Post-event:
Tear down: Removal of any Children’s Heart Foundation merchandise, packing up light equipment, gathering all remaining beverages and snacks, packing up left over t-shirts and other merchandise

The Children's Heart Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the country's leading organization dedicated to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research. Through 2020, The Children’s Heart Foundation has funded nearly $16.5 million of CHD research and scientific collaborations- driving breakthroughs that have improved survival rates, longevity, and quality of life for individuals living with CHDs in dramatic and life-changing ways.
