Recruiting Organization: The Pollination Project Foundation
Do you want to learn more about the work of grassroots changemakers all around the world? The Pollination Project makes grants of $1,000 a day, every day of the year, to individual social changemakers across the globe. The result has been an abundance of stories that need to be shared far and wide! For examples of people and projects we’ve funded, please visit our website.
We love sharing our grantees' stories but we need your help: We are seeking volunteers to summarize our collection of grant proposals into short, single sentence descriptions. With these descriptions, we can create a map of our grantees with information about each of their projects. A map like this would help our grantees connect with each other and with volunteers and donors worldwide, creating a network of support for these social changemakers. The storytelling team at The Pollination Project will also use these descriptions to expand the diversity of the grantee stories we are able to share.
We are looking for a volunteer who is excited to learn about the incredible grassroots social change work that's happening in every corner of the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Read through project proposals from grantees in our focus areas, which include animal rights, education, environment, health, human rights, the arts, and female empowerment
- If you're passionate about one of these focus areas, you can write summaries exclusively in that area!
- Summarize each grant into a one sentence description.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong English writing and reading skills
- Tech-savvy
- Curiosity about or experience in social change work
- Connection to the mission and vision of The Pollination Project
- Preference for volunteers with a commitment to or interest in animal rights and a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle
Time Commitment:
- Very flexible
- This is a fully remote position
- We can work around your hours and create a schedule that works best for you!
