Recruiting Organization: The Youth Mental Health Project
The Parent Support Network provides parents and caregivers who are concerned about their children’s mental health with an opportunity to find and support each other in a confidential and safe space. Our Peer Facilitators are parents with lived experience raising children with mental health challenges.
We are looking for volunteers, who are parents who have experience raising children with mental health challenges, who can commit to co-facilitating our peer support groups on our virtual platform 1-2 times a month. Volunteers must have access to the internet and a location where they can facilitate the meetings from their home in private. Volunteers should have knowledge of technology and online video conferencing platforms or the ability to be trained on the use of them. All volunteers receive initial and ongoing training and support from the program director.
