Ascend hospice is seeking out individuals or groups with sewing and knitting talents in the extended KC metro area. Many of the almost 400 hospice patients we currently serve would greatly benefit from from the loving touch of hand made blankets, fidget lap blankets (tactile stimulation and distraction for dementia patients), and neck pillows for support - and many other things! We also have an immediate need for walker bags (attaches to walkers with pockets for storage). If requested, Ascend can provide materials as well as patterns.
