ORGANIZATION: Senior Companions Network

Virtual Book Clubs (VBC) paid volunteers develop book clubs for older adult/senior groups. Facilitators engage groups in fiction/non-fiction book presentations and discussions Facilitators help groups to use Zoom for virtual Book Club meetings. Virtual meetings become supplemental and depending on the group may become the predominant means to meet. Other multimedia is explored like using Audio Books and recording audio relevant to book subjects and life experiences. Other relevant subjects are explored (like i.e., Cultural History, Genealogy, Travel) by using assorted multimedia.

VBC Volunteers are expected to have read numerous adult fiction and non-fiction titles, very good communicators. Leading group experience is helpful. A flexible schedule with AM & afternoon availability is required.
VBC Volunteers are compensated for preparation, facilitation, and travel.
