Centurions is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization committed to educating the community and working with authorities in locating, rescuing and rehabilitating individuals oppressed by human trafficking.

Centurions Michigan is searching to fill the position of Volunteer Community Outreach & Education Director . This is a volunteer position that reports to the Executive Director. The minimum hours for this position is 10 hours a week and should be able to commit at least 1 year.

This position requires the alignment of the organization’s purpose, mission and values, additional knowledge, skills and abilities which are as follows:

Purpose :

To serve and protect those who can not serve and protect themselves, to be an advocate of liberty through action and education.

Mission :

To educate the community on human trafficking and aid law enforcement on all levels to identify, rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking.

About the Community Outreach & Education Team:

The Community Outreach & Education leadership team maintains program excellence through the development of viable interdisciplinary teams and partnerships. We directly support all directorates of Centurions Michigan by providing training and education to heighten awareness of human trafficking within our community and organization. We also provide leadership, planning, monitoring, and quality assurance of the education procedural processes.

Job Description:

We are looking for a competent Volunteer Community Outreach & Education Director to support departmental planning, creation and filing of documents, consistent communication with the organization via email and phone calls.

The CO & E director will have extensive knowledge of the human trafficking issue and excellent leadership skills..They will lead their directorate, coordinate and supervise daily operations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct training for the organization
• Plan and conduct training for community organizations
• Construct and implement training curriculums
• Build relationships with outside organizations to conduct training

• File paperwork
• Maintain scheduling of meetings, events, and represent the company when needed
• Create reports and submit them to the executive director

Requirements:

• Understanding of the issue, or willingness to learn, about human trafficking

• Understands the importance of diversity and inclusion
• Public Speaking Experience
• Able to work independently or collaboratively
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Non-profit experience (preferred but not required)
• Should be very disciplined.
