In partnership with families, SOAR365 creates life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities, annually serving over 1,500 people and their families. Founded in 1954, SOAR365 is an organization created by families, for families; an organization that has grown to provide a continuum of programs and services for individuals with disabilities across the lifespan ( https://www.soar365.org).
With multiple locations throughout central Virginia, SOAR365 programs span the lifecycle and assist people with disabilities to live happy, successful, and meaningful lives. Programs and services include: Infant & Child Development Services; Afterschool & Day Support Services; SOAR365 Employment Services; and Summer Camp and Respite Services.
A small team with big projects and goals, the Marketing & Communications Department is seeking a volunteer to transcribe three recorded interviews (approximately one hour each in length). These interviews have recently been conducted with important organizational stakeholders and will be incorporated into an ongoing project to document the history of SOAR365 from its inception in 1954 through its evolution to the present day.
