Public Health Connected is looking for new board chair! PHC is all about strengthening the
community of public health professionals by providing them with resources that promote resilience and
offering platforms and opportunities to connect with each other, so that they are empowered to face the
challenges of working in public health. It is a relatively new non-profit organization (formed during the
COVID-19 pandemic by an epidemiologist) and is forming a startup board. This will be a group of
high-energy, creative, passionate, and productive people to champion PHC and its mission.

The Board Champion and Chair is a powerhouse talent who will:
○ Bring 10+ years of experience in nonprofit management;
○ Mentor the Founder/Interim Executive Director to develop the organization;
○ Provide access to wide and deep networks to tap into for advice and resources;
○ Show a track record of successful nonprofit development.

PHC is committed to building a board that reflects the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Chair should also have a deep commitment to these values. They should be tech-savvy and skilled with virtual collaboration tools (email, Google Suite, Zoom/video conferencing, Asana, etc). This will be a working board and the anticipated time commitment is 1-3 hours/week, depending on the season and events. The Chair will serve a 1-2 year term and sign a board member agreement that outlines their responsibilities to the organization, as well as the organization's responsibilities to them.
