The Simmons Empowerment Foundation Inc. (TSEFI), a 501(c)3 organization, is looking to expand its Board of Directors. TSEFI's mission is to have a home for unwed, teen moms and to empower them through pre- and post-natal health education, job skills training, and coaching.
The ideal candidate has expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Neonatal or pediatric care
- Professional Development
- Mentoring/empowerment coaching
- Counseling/therapy (board certified/licensed)
- State certified educator (from any state in the US)
- Corporate leadership specifically in Texas

Mission Statement
TSEFI's mission is to provide a home for unwed teen moms while empowering them through pre- and post-natal health education, employment skills training, and counseling/coaching services as needed.
Description
TSEFI was formed in December 2020 and has since participated in several fundraisers and community events to support our mission. We have opened our scholarship program for teens in need, and we launched our signature program, Dear Future Me: The Coaching Program (TM). Its objective is to improve college and career readiness for at-risk students. We currently have reached students globally with our 100% virtual program that includes learning modules, videos, independent and collaborative activities, and weekly group empowerment coaching sessions. By the end of our 8-week program, students will be ready to enter the workforce or higher education.

- There is a $1,000 annual board member fee that can be paid using the give/get policy. This means that your annual contribution can be met either by your personal giving or through your direct fundraising efforts for TSEFI.
