Cultural Coalition is excited to host its 12th Annual MIKIZTLI: Dia de los Muertos Festival at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix on Sunday, October 29 from 2 to 7 p.m.
This festival is a community celebration of the Mesoamerican holiday the Day of the Dead. Featuring live music, dance performances, giant over sized puppets, a community altar, kids craft activities, food trucks, and a candle light sunset procession.
Volunteers for this event are a big part of making this festival successful. Multiple shifts are available for a variety of tasks that include: set up/vendor load-in, art activities areas, prop managers, clean up crews, survey takers, and more!

Description
The Cultural Coalition, Inc. began as a grass roots organization of artists and community activists in the summer of 1996. Our goal : to develop innovative ways to address important social issues while encouraging the participation of organizations, schools, and individuals in the creation of neighborhood arts programs.
