Artpace's chalk festival is on the horizon again and we’re delighted to announce that we will be back downtown-the first time since 2019! On Saturday, October 8, tens of thousands of San Antonians, including teams of professional and school-age artists, will come out to downtown to Chalk It Up!
We have a variety of roles and three different 3-hour time slots. And we need your help!
Orientation at Artpace:
Volunteer Orientation A: Wednesday, September 28, 5:30-6:30pm
Zoom:
Volunteer Orientation B: Saturday, October 1, 10-11am
The majority of work will happen outside. Lunch is included for Shifts 1 and 2. Masks are encouraged!

Description
San Antonio's premiere contemporary art venue since its opening in 1995, Artpace hosts artists from around the globe through its residency and exhibition programs and provides innovative educational offerings that emphasize how art can reflect and affect our world. The 1920's building, once a Hudson automobile dealership, is located in the vibrant downtown cultural district, one block from San Antonio's famous River Walk. Artpace contributes to the city's vital cultural life by providing a facility with easy access, challenging exhibitions, and a diverse array of programs for artists, students, and adults.
