Help in the preparation of fruit, vegetables, bread, and packaged goods for distribution at Buen Provecho- Farmers Market.Assist participants in the check-in/ check-out process by weighing bags of food.
You will be assisting MEND in providing a supply of quality, healthy produce, and other foods to our community in addition to providing PPE kits, general mental health and wellness resources, resources that will reduce the mental and physical health impacts of COVID-19 trauma.
Assist MEND in the arrival and organization of daily food distribution. Selecting quality produce for distribution and place compostable items into green bins. Prepare emergency food bags by specifications and filling them with produce, and other donated items. Assist clients during distribution and as needed and prepare cardboard for recycling. Light cleaning (sweeping, mopping and wiping down).
