Looking for a way to give back to your community? Can you spare an hour a week? Volunteers are needed to visit and office companionship to our Hospice patients.
As a volunteer you will not be asked to provide any medical help. Volunteer duties may include visiting with the patient and family, reading to the patient, watching TV, or just sitting with the patient while family members tend to their personal needs.

Description

Amedisys Hospice is a community based hospice care agency licensed by the State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) and Medicare (CMS) and Accredited by Community Health Accreditation Program.
Our goals are is to foster genuine personal connections that offer emotional, psychological and spiritual support by taking an active role in the interests that bring joy to our patients. This strong support system also extends to the patients families, providing them resources and support throughout this journey. The families we work with rate our care highly. 85% if the families said they would recommend hospice services to others and 84% rated overall patient care as "excellent" or "good."
