New Futures is excited to invite you to our virtual webinar series, Career Launch! These series of workshops are hosted throughout each year for all of our Scholars and Alumni. Each event is designed to help our learners with the tools necessary to be successful as New Futures graduates and as young professionals entering the workforce. The topics covered in Career Launch are resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, LinkedIn and personal branding, and networking skills.
During Part 1 of each workshop, Scholars and Alumni participate in an interactive lecture to learn about LinkedIn. In part 2, each Scholar and Alumni will be paired in breakout rooms with Volunteers to update their Linkedin profiles in real-time (this is where you would come in)!
Our Scholars are studying IT, Health Sciences, Education, Hospitality, Construction/trades, and Public Service.
Please email Jasmine@newfuturesdc.org if you are interested in volunteering.
