- The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is looking for volunteers with a strong interest in environmental conservation to serve as visitor center hosts at the Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve PSCP) and to support the preserve manager with administrative tasks. The preserve is open Wed-Sun., summer 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and winter 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commitment to a 5 hr. shift the same day each week. The success of the preserve’s programs, including conserving a perennial stream that supports an astonishing diversity of flora and fauna, depends in large part on the active involvement of our volunteers, while providing the visitors to the preserve with a superior birding experience. Some of the assignment may include staffing the visitor center, leading nature or natural history tours/walks, fee collection and visitor orientation, answering phones, filling bird feeders.
